Local-first by design
AIVOW Lite keeps plugin settings and records in WordPress and does not store visitor identity by design. AIVOW Lite makes no plugin-initiated external API calls. Other WordPress plugins, hosting services, analytics tools, embedded AI tools, and third-party services may process data independently.
Does AIVOW Lite send its stored records to external services?
No. AIVOW Lite makes no plugin-initiated external API calls. Its AI system records, Wizard answers, badge settings, and other plugin records remain in the WordPress installation. Hosting providers, themes, other plugins, and embedded services may operate independently.
Does the plugin automatically detect AI-generated content?
No. AIVOW is manual-first. The site administrator creates AI system records and decides which labels, notices, disclosures, and readiness answers apply.
Does AIVOW guarantee EU AI Act compliance?
No. The plugin does not provide legal advice, certify compliance, or guarantee compliance with the EU AI Act or any other law. Site owners remain responsible for accurate disclosures and appropriate legal review.
Can I use AIVOW with WooCommerce?
Yes. AIVOW Lite supports badges and optional metadata for products, the Shop page, product categories, and product tags. It does not automatically scan the product catalog for AI usage.
Does AIVOW Lite limit the number of AI systems?
No. AIVOW Lite does not impose a quantity limit on AI system records, active systems, or public outputs. Active systems can be used in public outputs, while Draft and Inactive systems remain available in the WordPress admin but are not displayed publicly.
What is planned for AIVOW Pro?
AIVOW Pro is planned as a separate commercial add-on. Its current roadmap includes advanced aggregated non-personal disclosure logs, notice version history, HTML and TXT export workflows, Quick Edit and Bulk Edit workflows, WooCommerce bulk workflows, and advanced reporting for teams and agencies. These features are planned and may change before release.
Does AIVOW Lite store IP addresses, prompts, or AI responses?
No. AIVOW Lite does not store visitor names, email addresses, IP addresses, full user-agent strings, visitor identifiers, AI prompts, chat messages, AI-generated responses, uploaded visitor files, or chatbot conversation history.
What happens when I uninstall AIVOW Lite?
Plugin data is preserved by default. Permanent cleanup runs only when the administrator enables the uninstall cleanup setting before deleting the plugin. The generated transparency page is standard WordPress content and may need to be moved to Draft or deleted separately.
Can I customize the badges and global banner?
Yes. AIVOW Lite includes controls for badge text, colors, icons, placement, opacity, shadow, and related display options. The global banner supports informational and acknowledgement modes with configurable text, button text, placement, position, width, shadow, and safe colors.
Does AIVOW Lite use cookies or browser storage?
AIVOW Lite may store a non-personal banner version fingerprint in a browser cookie and a non-personal interaction-gate acknowledgement value in localStorage. These values remain in the visitor’s browser and are not stored in WordPress as disclosure or visitor activity logs.
Does AIVOW Lite collect disclosure logs or include report exports?
No. AIVOW Lite includes a read-only transparency summary and an explanation of its logging boundaries. It does not collect disclosure logs or include exportable reports. Advanced logging and report export workflows are planned for AIVOW Pro but are not available in AIVOW Lite.
